A former employee mentioned, "Flowserve hired me knowing from the interview that I was in school to finish my degree. After I was hired I worked for 3 months and was able to continue with my school to finish my degree. The branch manger that hired me left the company and a temp manger was assigned to the location. I was then informed by the temp manager that. Flowserve does not promote or support their employees attending school while working for the company, which I found questionable due to Flowserve having a tuition reimbursement program....... I ask to be put on a night shift for 4 weeks to finish a class then I could continue my education and work without my school interfering with my work schedule. I was denied. I reached out to the HR to see if there was something we could work out. I was told no. So I had to resign. After leaving another worker who worked In Same department was attending a school to finish his degree. From my experience I had had with company he thought he had to leave because Flowserve refused to work with me on my scheduled informed the company he was going to resign so he can continue his education. They offered to move him to a different shift so he could work. Flowserve discriminated and does not treat their employees fairly. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this company."
Current Employee - Applications Engineer says"Dont get the expected credit for your work."
Former Employee - Anonymous Employee says"1. Very little or NO exposure to actual business and you will be shielded. Management jumps inside for all meetings even if they have no idea what it is and the actual engineer is always left out. Business inefficiency due to ego. 2. Management is self-centered and force subordinates into unethical practices such as over charging customers with bigger bills. 3. Management lacks understanding of business. The kind of job being done are small tasks and are generally assigned to a single person. For some odd reason management insist on team work and no one knows how. 4. Close tie between HR and management. So when a manager harasses you, there is no where to go. 5. New opportunities are never even made known to existing employees and are not asked if they are even interested. Managers pocket them most of the time."
Current Employee - Engineer says"1. Workers union have started & Higher management have given them more salary than the staff so like a worker with ITI qualification will be getting more salary than the engineer. 2. Tamalians will be getting more salary than local people as all department HOD's are either Tamil or Malayali. 3. Lot of internal politics & if your good with immediate boss than only you will get good hike else will be sidelined. 4. Local management & all HOD's are mean minded, don't want there subordinates to grow and develop. All Bosses want to save there head. 5. Office staff & Union workers are benefited more than shop floor, Management is least bothered about employee satisfaction."
Current Employee - Anonymous Employee says"Less learning Unstructured organisation Poor salary"
Former Employee - Anonymous Employee says"poor hike ,engineer need to be boot lick supervisor to get hike, credit stealing team mates, poor hr policies,no job guarantee, tamil dominant organizations, poor manger does not know technical knowledge, waste of time gets ruined career as company sinking in oil and gas"
Current Employee - Senior R&D Engineer says"1. Lack of vision towards R&D path. 2. No career path for R&D engineers! Trust me, hardly 15-20 engineers out of 300 work on R&D. One has to wait for long ( and sometimes you have to please your manager) to get some projects! 3. HR wing is useless. HR is a secret agent for site leadership. HR carries all information from employees to site leadership to turn against employees. 4. Apathy towards employees. No single demand of employee has been fulfilled after formation of GTEC . 5. Linguistic and regional bias-ism is prominent"
Current Employee - Diploma Engineer Trainee says"Tactics harassment from asst managers and managers for being conscious on work"
Former Employee - Engineer Associate says"Very less hike, no promotion, no knowledge gaining, high partiality n politics, no care n respect for employee.... Etc etc"
Former Employee - Project Manager says"Micro-management supervisors who think they know more, but do not trust the teams judgement at all. Software to manage projects is outdated and 10 Project Managers would have 10 different expenses, timelines, sunk costs, for the same project - there is no consistency, only the appearance that PM's understand what they are doing with this disaster software. The main thrust of this review, is that I think Flowserve is a good company, just run away from the Kalamazoo R&D team. You will be set up for failure for sure - oh, 100% turn over within the team in the last 5 years - wonder why? They wont tell you that in the interview either."
Former Employee - Senior Manager says"Toxic work environment, poor communication, politics and threatening inter-functional rivalries"
Assembler / Pressure Tester (Current Employee) says"Be careful this is the only place i have ever worked where you are rewarded for telling tails on each other and rewarded for not working or sleeping on the job if your polish it's ok"
Buyer (Laid Off) says"First thing company did was to Lay hard working employees off. People that had been there for years. All the while buying new office furniture and plans to re-do the. Obviously not employee oriented. Came out of the blue.. Company is going down hill QUICKLY!"

CNC Machine Operator/Setup/programmer (Former Employee) says"This was a good job, with decent management the first 7 or 8 years i worked there, but, a new regime took over the few years i was there and totally ruined the place for every one. Upper management giving themselves and their pals nice 5-10% raises every year, but giving the workers about .1 to .5% raises . They also stole money from their own employees in other ways as well. They ran the place like a WW2 death camp - giving a few rats in the shop favoritism for ratting out and harassing employees that were black listed. Corrupt too, just ask any former employee there about the "Miracle Dumpster" ( in short, a very large , very expensive part was scrapped and thrown away, because of the extremely poor castings they were purchasing, but management demanded it be taken out of the dumpster to fill another order anyway)."
CNC Operator (Former Employee) says"Very unethical, had a medical issue and was hospitalized. Was terminated because had a serious medical condition under fmla. Terminated immediately . Now since termination I have no job."
Senior Sales Engineer (Current Employee) says"Company tried to build itself as being 200 years old when in fact it was build of a couple companies that can trace their heritage to 200 years but Flowserve has only been around since about 1995. The quality of the products continues to decrease and if this does not change Flowserve will be broken up"
Machinist (Current Employee) says"Don't waste your time. HR is useless. They pay their employees peanuts. The company wants everything for nothing and they will lied to you so get everything in writing.8 hour shiftmanagers and HR"
xxxx (Current Employee) says"No respect and value given for the experienced employee and nor getting recognised... Accounting system still to be improved.... Work together with team, but rating is differed as wished by mgr."
Business Analyst (Former Employee) says"I worked as a Business Analyst at Flowserve and to sum it up it was unorganized, the leadership is horrible, everyone in the IT team is scared to lose their jobs. I did not even get formal training on the applications I was in charge of as the former employee would not train me and everyone else on the team was clueless. No documentation was ever created about our applications and our programs and softwares are so old it poses a security threat. This is a fortune 500 Company we are talking about and I worked in the world headquarters. it was embarrassing.nothingeverything"
operario (Former Employee) says"Buen paso por la rmpresa paso por barios sectores navesSeguro medicoEcxigencia injustificada"
machinist (Former Employee) says"find somewhere else to work, life is too short! If you like to polish rear ends this is the place for you. Skills mean nothing and the raises are meaningless. there was always some excuse to stop your bonusit paid the billstoo many to list"
Shop floor employee (Current Employee) says"Horrible place to work if you actually work. If you are lazy and don't care about doing your job right, this is the perfect place for you. Management punishes the hard workers while the union allows them to. Union officials will protect the lazy people at all costs. People tend to play the race card quite a bit here too. Does not make for a very productive environment. Routinely scheduled 50 to 60 hours a week to correct other workers mistakes while they get their weekends off. No work and life balance. There is no chain of command to correct any of these problems. Management pretty much looks out for their bonuses and not running the business in a fair or profitable way.No travelOver worked, no personal life, union"
Operator (Former Employee) says"Sneaky co workers, unprofessional leads. Manager bias decisions, they never listen to the small workers. Too much politics. Leads are very rude. Old Machineries and bad parts blames on operators."
Employee (Current Employee) says"Flowserve is an excellent place to work for long career aspirants. Proper Work life balance. Rely more in on the job training than class room trainings."
Executive Engineer (Current Employee) says"Company has more managers than working people. Work comes in always as urgency, have do it in pressure conditions. Big brand name, but nothing in side."
Production Worker (Current Employee) says"it was wonderful place to work you got to learn new things and friendly people to work with and you got to learn new products"
Assembly Millwright (Former Employee) says"Management is very dishonest. Abusive environment. Very un productive environment. Management talks down to staff. Very un professional. Managements creates a lot of problems on the work floor. Worst safety practices I have ever witnessed in my 31 years of experience. Many 90 day dismissals. DO NOT APPLY. They take advantage of the labor market in Brantford. You will never get in fulltime!!!!! Horrible experience. Prompted myself to go into a totally different career. I made sure I informed my colleagues at British Petroleum the way this plant was run. I also made sure I contacted all other executives in purchasing and sales in this business about the manner in which I was personally treated by the Brantford management staff. Those of us that operate with the highest standards of employee and customer relations see this as an indicator to avoid using FLOWSERVE products. Their attitudes are reflected in the quality of their products. A lot of useless employees that are unable to react to the current market for their products. Their test stand will kill someone one day in the manner in which it is designed and used. A concerned Brantford resident and Business operator.NoneMany"
CNC Maintenance Technician (Former Employee) says"Great teamwork with coworkers and management team. Enjoyed working and maintaining site machines. Very challenging career that kept me motivated. Continiously encouraged to become a better technician thru training. Allowed me to be self motivated and oversee company control systems.great teamwork within the industrydownsizing of company to oversees production"
Machinist (Former Employee) says"If you really need a job, then MAYBE consider this company. They will pay you as little as they can while they work you inefficiently. Any profit is gobbled up by corporate for golfing trips and pointless company travel for non-productive execs. An archaic business model, out of touch elitist HQ that will provide a dead end job with zero long term incentives. Forget about overtime unless they are screwed and need you to catch them back up.A job until your career track appears.Just about everything a loyal, long-term employee cares about."
CNC Machinist (Former Employee) says"Forced to work a weekend shift, Low pay, unreasonable expectation of productivity without any training on the machine operated.NoneLow pay, High stress"
